As pastor of Crossroads, I am committed to expository preaching. What is that? It is letting the text dictate the sermon. It is placing the meaning of the text out where people can see it and then applying it in meaningful ways to their lives. Currently I am preaching through the book of Galatians. Last week we took an in depth look at the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. We saw how our flesh has already been crucified with Christ on the cross and we must now live in the power of that crucifixion. This week I will be preaching from Galatians 6 on “The Law of Christ – Loving others”.
If you're looking for expository preaching and a really friendly group of people in a small church setting, Crossroads may be just what you're looking for. Come and see us! We meet at 5 PM in the back building at 903 S. Corral Hollow Rd. Tracy Ca. Please feel free to call me with any questions. My number is 209-814-1842. Pastor Tim (PT)
5-MINUTE BIBLE STUDY
Read: Daniel 6:10-23 (bit.ly/1JvIUzn)
Examine: The name Daniel means “God is my judge,” and Daniel lived a life that expressed that truth. He lived in captivity to the Babylonians, but his heart was surrendered to God. (Bill Crowder)
Discuss: Is your heart surrendered to God? How does that show in your words and actions?
Pray: Leave your prayer request in the comments below. Pick a person who has commented and lift them up in prayer today. Reply to them and let them know you're praying!
